Please Pray for The Overbey Family

We are asking everyone to please intercede to God for our dear friends, Ed and Jackie Overbey. We received word this morning [Tuesday, 23 October] that their son, Tom, died suddenly last night. Pray that God will give Brother and Sister Overbey and their family His peace.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOM OVERBEY
Visitation will be 5:30-8:30 Thursday evening, October 25, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will also be held at 11:00 Friday morning until the service.

The Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 26, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery (Nicholasville, Ky).

Formal Obituary
OVERBEY, Thomas Edward, 57, died Mon., Oct. 22, 2012. He was born October 23, 1954 to retired pastor, Edward H. and former teacher, Jackie Overbey. After a happy childhood in West Virginia, his family moved to Lexington where he graduated from Lafayette. He proudly volunteered in 1972 and served his country as a tank commander in West Germany. He worked for IBM, Paul Miller Ford, and most recently, the VA Hospital. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and Bluegrass Cycling Club. He is survived by his parents; his only son, Ross Edward Overbey; two sisters, Martha (Mark) Czecholinski and Grace (Clark) Henderson; brother, David H. Overbey; five nieces and nephews; and his quixotic dog, Sporty. Funeral services will be 12 pm Fri. at Kerr Brothers, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-8:30 pm Thurs. and 11 am Fri. until the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to The Disabled American Veterans of KY, 3336 Buckhorn Dr., Lexington, KY 40515.
