The Directors of Baptist Faith Missions would like to thank you for your generous support of this vital ministry. God is using our current missionaries to preach the gospel and plant churches in Brazil, France, Kenya, and beyond. We are seeing souls saved and lives changed in numerous communities around the world. This amazing work would not be possible without your help. As we come to the end of the year, we are again asking you to consider contributing to the annual Thanksgiving Offering.

This year our Thanksgiving Offering goal is $60,000. Can you help us reach this goal?

BFM assists local churches with missions in several ways. First, we provide financial stability to your missionaries. Each month, we send the missionaries a base salary, as well as funds for housing and ministry expenses. We also provide health coverage. These benefits are sent consistently, regardless of fluctuations in monthly offerings to the Missionary Support Fund.

Second, we pass along additional designated offerings to specific missionaries. Special projects and unexpected needs are often funded in this way. Third, we provide pension funds for retired missionaries and their wives. We contribute matching funds to investment accounts belonging to younger missionaries. Slowly, we have been transitioning to a more sustainable IRA-based retirement system. Our commitments to pensioners will increase over the next decade and decrease thereafter.

Finally, BFM performs various administrative tasks. Whether it’s filing tax forms, transferring money internationally, complying with government reporting requirements, or advising missionaries on health insurance decisions, BFM lifts the administrative burden on supporting churches while ensuring a strong level of support for the missionaries. We also produce a monthly news bulletin in print and maintain a dynamic website and social media presence.

How does the Thanksgiving Offering help provide for your missionaries? While BFM’s overhead costs are quite low by industry standards, we tend to see a decline in funds to cover these necessary expenses as the year goes on. Offerings designated to missionaries remain strong, but we cannot forget to support the infrastructure that undergirds the entire ministry.
